Matty has been asked by a lot of us for her pickle recipe and we decided that I would just post it on the blog. It sounded so easy to make...so here it is...
4lb cucumbers (4litres/5lbs)
4 cups water
2 cups white vinegar
1/4 cup pickling salt
Dill/garlic
Wash cucumbers and soak overnight, covered.
Bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil.
Pack hot jars with cucumbers add 2 sprigs dill, 2 cloves garlic. Top with syrup and seal.
Let stand for about six weeks so that pickles can.....well pickle.
