For many years we have camped at Falcon State Park in Texas and have heard other campers say that they saw the bobcat that supposedly resides in the Park. Well, this year Bert and I were having lunch in our camper and Bert looked out and saw the bobcat at the site two sites over from us (both unoccupied) so I took out the camera, put on the long lens and captured this shot! The bobcat was smaller than I had anticipated.
This year Bert and I hosted what we called "drive in movie night". We had a campfire and hotdogs and when it got dark we showed the documentary "Bert's Buzz" on our t.v./monitor outside. The documentary is about the man who started the business of honey, lip balm and many other 'natural' creams etc. It was a very interesting show and there were about twenty of us watching it.
At Falcon Park they had their annual Valentines/Gift exchange party with about 40 campers. It is always a great time since you can 'steal' another person's gift after they have opened it and you would like to have it instead of opening an unwrapped gift.
This is the view from our campsite in Falcon. In the background is Falcon Lake which has a dam at the end of it. Also in the background is a mountain range in Mexico.
